Description
Job Title: Marketing Manager
Hours of work: 20-24 hours per week
Reports to: Marketing & Development Director (Mⅅ) and Assistant Director (AD)
General Statement of Duties
He/she will work closely with Mⅅ, Program Directors, Program Assistant, and Academic Directors to develop and implement a strategic marketing plan to; a) recruit students, b) recruit volunteer teachers, and c) spread the word about our English Language classes, Life Skills workshops, and Intercultural Diversity training Programs. This person will also manage interns and analyze demographics across the county to develop the most effective marketing plans for each city Intercambio serves.
Responsibilities:
Program Marketing
• Develop an overarching marketing plan for Intercambio focusing on student and volunteer teacher recruitment. Create specific goals and strategies for each city Intercambio serves.
• Analyze demographic data across the county as well as data from Intercambio’s database (salesforce) to develop strategic marketing plans for each city Intercambio serves.
• Work with Program Directors to implement marketing strategies. Depending on the skills needed to complete the task, work may be completed by the Marketing Manager, Program Director or interns.
• Track monthly marketing efforts and report to Mⅅ and AD on their effectiveness. Recommend changes to strategy.
Communications
• Jointly with the Development Director, create a multi-channel communications plan for all staff and cities
• Train staff in and manage communications plan
• Create and manage content that can be recycled and used across mediums (print, web, social media, video, appeal letters, blog, etc)
• Update events on web site and social media platforms
• Write and distribute Program-related press releases
• With the Development Director, maintain updated, effective collateral for Intercambio
Community Outreach
• Spearhead Excellence Celebration to recognize the achievements of students, volunteers and partners in the community.
• Develop relationships with local volunteer groups, churches, senior centers, veterans communities, etc to get Intercambio in front of prospective volunteers and students
• Host meetups with prospective volunteers and students.
• Organize and attend tabling or speaking events to be in front of prospective volunteers and students.
• Serve on 1-2 strategic committees across the community as appropriate.

• Attend Program Meetings
• Attend 3 out of 12 monthly events
