Happy Holidays from Front Range Source! The giving season is in full swing and we wanted to be sure you saw Mark Rovner’s great list of 5 things you can do online and by email to increase year-end contributions (see below).
But first, here’s our own top-5 list of last minute fundraising boosters:
Focus on renewals. Pull a list of your top 50 donors and see who hasn’t given. Try to reach them on the phone or e-mail to see if there is anything you can provide them to help in their year-end giving. We call this “dialing for dollars”!
Share your good work. Pull some photos of your clients or programs and send a few to some of your top donors that haven’t yet given. Be sure to include a personal note.
Show appreciation for those grants. Send New Year’s cards to your top foundation officers and thank them for their support.
Seal the deal with your board. They’ve probably (hopefully) already made their gifts this year, but if they haven’t, please make sure they do! You need 100% participation. Of course, second-time gifts from willing board members are welcome, too.
Touch base with loyal donors. If you know some older donors that haven’t given this year, but that have been consistent givers, call them to wish them a happy holidays. It’s absolutely crucial to stay connected to these donors who might consider putting your organization in their will or estate plans.
Here at Front Range Source, we wish you Happy Holidays and a strong year-end. Thank you for all your support, feedback and partnership during this, our very first year!
Warm wishes,
Ann and Leslie
