The Rocky Mountain Foundation is currently seeking to hire a Planned Giving Director to join the Foundation staff to work exclusively in the area of planned giving concentrating on the following:

1) Provide seminars and individual consultations about making sure everyone has a will.
2) Provide information to individuals on charitable giving on behalf of local churches and agencies of
the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Methodist Church through life income plans, i.e.
charitable gift annuities, unitrusts and other opportunities through the Foundation.
3) Develop a network of resources including tax specialists and attorneys in the geographic area that
we serve, including Colorado, Wyoming and Utah.
4) Help teach church leaders how to identify potential donors in their congregations and be a
resource for the next step for planned giving counseling with such donors.
5) Help teach church and agency committees how to establish and promote endowments funds

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s Degree in related field
* 3 to 5 years’ experience working with individuals and groups in the areas of wills, endowments, and
planned gifts
* Working knowledge of charitable gift annuities, life estates, charitable trusts, etc.
* Trained in delivering workshops and seminars in planned giving
* Available to travel around the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Methodist Church, (Colorado,
Wyoming, Utah), 265 churches
* Preferable experience with Crescendo Planned Giving software and Power Point

* Person of hope and vision deeply rooted in Christian faith and stewardship – prefer United Methodist

EXPECTATIONS:
* Maintain database and reports of contacts, donors and prospects
* Develop plan for identifying and qualifying donors
* Implement accountable system for follow up and closing planned gifts
* Establish yearly goals with Executive Director to develop an annual plan and work with the
Marketing/Planned Giving Committee
* Majority of time would be spent in the field: donor consultations, delivering planned giving seminars
and workshops in churches, live and via webinars
