House of Neighborly Service (HNS) is currently seeking a Manager of Individual Giving to create and implement a fundraising program to secure annual fund and capital contributions from individual gifts of all sizes. The successful candidate will be a proven development professional with hands-on experience in a small to mid-sized organization. A passion for the HNS mission and a deep commitment to creating lasting donor relationships are essential.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Create and implement an annual fundraising plan to achieve annual and capital fundraising goals. This includes direct marketing, special events and direct personal solicitation of gifts.
• Create and implement an ongoing stewardship program.
• Raise awareness of HNS among donor populations through multiple communications channels, including social media, direct marketing and public engagement. Specific tools include the newsletter and annual report.
• Support the $3.5 million capital campaign ($2.5 million raised to date) by overseeing campaign events, prospect tracking systems, preparing reports and proposals for individual prospects, and providing information and materials to solicitors.
• Supervise the Donor Relations Specialist and ensure thorough and timely execution of gift processing, donor acknowledgement, record keeping and reporting.
• Support Board and Executive Staff’s fundraising activities.
• While HNS has a designated Grant Developer this is an ongoing joint effort by the entire Development Department.

Job Requirements

• 3-5 years’ direct experience in fundraising in a small to mid-sized organization.
• Proven experience in creating and implementing a fundraising strategy and meeting financial targets.
• Demonstrated success in cultivating and soliciting gifts from individuals.
• Demonstrated success in working as a member of a team and developing effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and donors.
• Experience speaking in public to a variety of audiences.
• Experience working with data analysis and creating reporting mechanisms.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and in writing.
• Thorough, organized, and detail-oriented approach to work.
• An understanding of the confidential nature of fundraising efforts and donor information, and ability to maintain confidences.
• Knowledge of the Larimer County philanthropic communities is a plus.
