Voices For Children CASA recruits, trains and supports volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in Boulder County.
Position Overview
Reports To: Executive Director
Position Status: 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE)
Position Summary: The Program Manager is responsible for the overall supervision, management and development of the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program, including the Special Truancy Advocate (STA) Program and Peer Coordinator Programs. The Program Manager provides comprehensive support and oversight of programming efforts at Voices For Children CASA through case management, screening, recruitment, training, management, recognition efforts, and program development of Advocates and Peer Coordinators. Additionally, the Program Manager serves as the direct supervisor of the Advocate Coordinator paid staff position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- CASA and Truancy Case Management, Peer Coordinator Management: Assign cases, attend court hearings, manage active cases, manage and review monthly reports, submit reports to court, close cases, evaluate program.
- Screening, Recruiting Volunteers: Help in designing and executing recruitment and screening processes for incoming volunteers.
- Retaining, Recognizing Volunteers: Create and implement annual appreciation activities, conduct annual survey, etc.
- Training: Lead trainings of new volunteers, create additional trainings as needed, develop and maintain annual in-service calendar.
- Supervision: Direct supervisor for Advocate Coordinator paid staff, peer coordinators, and advocates. Provide support and guidance.
- Program Development: Analyze and evaluate programming, develop new programming to fit organizational needs, including advancing the Youth in Transition Program.
- Other duties as assigned, including creating content for monthly advocate newsletter, compiling statistics, and presenting at monthly Board meetings.
Compensation and benefits:
- Compensation is $24-25 an hour, depending on experience

Job Requirements
Experience with Professional Volunteer Management and Coordination (2+ years preferred)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Reliable, responsible, professional demeanor
Detail-oriented
Bachelor’s degree (related field strongly preferred)
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Willingness and ability to work with diverse population
Willingness and ability to maintain confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Xcel, Powerpoint)
Experience with online databases
Experience in supervising paid staff in a professional capacity strongly preferred
Experience and knowledge of child-welfare preferred
