Description
Johnson and Wales University is looking for an Assistant Director of Development, Leadership Gifts. This position:
- Develops and executes strategies and processes for obtaining private donations
- Identifies, cultivates and solicits major gift prospects (i.e. individuals, corporations, foundations)
- Provides stewardship in recognition of donor philanthropy; implements systematic efforts to identify and upgrade donors
- Identifies and utilizes resources (i.e. faculty, staff, Internet) to identify linkage, ability and interest of major gift prospects
- Assists in managing various campaigns, major and planned giving
- Coordinates and completes gift arrangements which require tax or estate planning
- Assists in developing and managing the department budget
- Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
- Moderate amount of experience working in development, higher education fund-raising, or other related work experience
