Emergency Family Assistance Association (EFAA), located in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking a creative, goal oriented individual to lead our strong development program to a new level. EFAA is a 92 year old human services organization that operates safety net programs for residents of Boulder and Broomfield counties. EFAA is a well known and respected organization that employees 22 staff and utilized hundreds of volunteers.

Our fundraising program generates $1.5M per year for the annual fund from about 3000 donors. We have a broad base of support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and faith communities (all faiths); and conduct one of the most successful fundraising events in the area. The event raises $300,000 net and about $140,000 in corporate sponsorships with 400-500 attendees.

EFAA is positioned to enhance our efforts in major gifts and planned giving. We are creating a more strategic, long term major gift program while increasing overall community awareness about EFAA. The Board of Directors is active in the fundraising area.

Job Requirements

The Candidate must:
• Have a track record of success in all fundraising areas (direct mail, grants, special events, marketing, major/planned gifts etc…)
• Have successfully developed and implemented a major individual/planned giving effort
• Demonstrate a commitment to EFAA’s mission
• Be able to create excitement about development efforts among staff and volunteers
• Be able to maximize the cost effective use of technology (including social media) in the development and marketing functions
• Have 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility and results in leadership of a development program

Additionally, experience with the Raiser’s Edge fundraising software is helpful. This position’s pay is competitive within the metro Denver market and is commensurate with experience and demonstrated results.
