Looking Beyond the 4 Stars
I was over the moon to see the study last week that found that while donors value charity ratings and research like Guidestar and Charity Navigator, few actually include it in their decisions for giving. Fidelity Looms Large in Fundraising
Have you been getting those checks from Fidelity Gift Fund and wondering what it’s all about? Calculated Optimism or Just Plain Faith?
Religious or not, most fundraising professionals have a degree of faith. We have to. How else could we commit to revenue goals that depend largely on the good will of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of other people? In other professional fields this would be considered ludicrous. Hell: How Was It For You?
2009 was rougher than 2008 and that’s saying something.
